Since 1922, MedTug has operated tugboats in the commercial harbour of Genoa. From its headquarters, the Group gradually expanded its fleet to other ports across Italy and internationally, broadening the scope of its operations.

Today, MedTug is a leading global harbour towage operator. With over 100 years of experience in towage operations, MedTug employs more than 1,100 people and manages a specialized fleet of over 170 vessels.

Over the last decade, MedTug has grown to become Italy’s largest operator and a global player in the industry. In 2023, MedTug joined the MSC Group.

As part of MSC, MedTug continues to pursue its goal of becoming the world’s leading harbour towage operator, offering a range of services including harbour towage, offshore services, salvage and special operations.
